I thought I had read that they were in the middle of a huge move or something.  Yeah, I haven't seen her around in a long time.  Hope they're ok as well.

This is the second post referencing this in the last few months and at the time of the last one Roz was kinda quiet, for her anyway, but still checking the site regularly and posting occasionally. I notice now she hasn't been on the site for almost 2 weeks and that is unusual. Like you, I hope everything is OK, but haven't heard anything one way or the other to indicate what's going on. As happens with many, sometimes the interest wanes or unfortunately life throws something at us to keep us away from our normal activities. Honestly don't know which of these relates to her absence. Maybe someone with knowledge or Roz herself will chime in to update us

I heard from someone who bought an item at their site and the money was returned with a message that they wouldn't be able to ship anything out for the next 10 to 12 weeks due to the move.

Aww....you guys sound like you miss me!  :rotfl: :rotfl:

All is well with Darrell and I. We ARE moving, however, we decided to take the opportunity to do a little traveling before heading to our new place. We are full-timing in our RV currently, hopping around as we please.

We expect to be settled and operational in a couple months or so. Maybe sooner if we start going to fist city or if Darrell decides he can't stand my driving anymore... :24: :24:

We have always enjoyed camping and have talked about trips like this, but it was just not feasible (real life stood in the way). When Darrell was forced to retire early due to medical reasons, we figured it was time to mark off some bucket list entries. His issues are not life threatening thankfully, but did make us realize you cannot take ANY thing for granted, especially TIME. So, we bought a 32' fifth wheel, and here we are!

For those of you who have wanted to do something similar, I strongly urge you to do so if you should ever have the opportunity. We are fortunate enough to not have any real commitments at this time. No mortgage, house to maintain, etc., so it's actually rather affordable. The hardest part is planning destinations, routes, and stays!

I need to wait for my kid to be in college before I do that.  I'm thinking as soon as he graduates and is off to college, it is my time to retire and start working on my bucket list.  I've been fortunate to take care of some of them already, but the ones left are either really long trips, or require a specific time period (Aurora Borealis).  Some are now just too dangerous (visit the great pyramids).  It's too bad the middle east is not a safe place to go anymore, there's a lot of ancient historic sites that I would love to go see, but not worth the risk anymore.

Aurora Borealis is at the very top of Darrell's list...I haven't checked out when it's avail though. A lot of places claim you can see it, but not sure.

You can see it in Danali Alaska at night even during the summer, but has to be 1-2 in the morning.  In the winter it's a lot easier to see it at night since very short daylight hours.

I did Alaska (was on my list), but I do want to get back there.  I did the cruise thing and it was amazing.  But I would love to go to Denali, the problem is that my wife is a city girl and getting her to go out to a national park, well, it's complicated and probably a very expensive bribe...

Hmm...winter is coming! However, I would be concerned with the weather. Chaining up a fifth wheel is NOT on my bucket list, lol! Thanks for the info though! I didn't know it was pretty much a year round thing in Alaska.

Yep, as long as you go to a secluded place where the there is no light pollution the Northern Lights can be seen in Alaska.  BTW, what the camera captures and what the eye sees are 2 different things.  Not so green with the naked eye like in photos but still worth witnessing.
