Title: PE+ with a WBA 10 that only takes $1 bills
Post by: danatlvc on January 20, 2015, 09:20:46 AM
I recently picked up PE+ machine with a setup I've never EVER seen before with a PE+. It's been put in a 13" Game King type cabinet with a wider door bezel opening for WBAs. It has a WBA 10 with version 3.0 ID022/23 pictured. Does anyone know the last upgrade version for this unit & where to get a chip version? I've also tried a few other flashed WBA 10s in it, but they only fully cycle & won't lite up the bezel for accepting bills. Only this one WBA will lite the bezel to accept $1s. I would like to get it to take higher bills, but it won't. I tried changing the bill acceptor harness & tried a few other WBA 12 & a 13 in it with no luck. It fully cycled both when turned on, but won't lite up the bezel to accept bills? I'm wondering if this was a try at converting & as far as they could get with it taking bills. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, as I'd hate to put a blank plate over it & make it coin in only. Thanks

Is this for the S+?  If it is only taking $1.00 have you tried older currency?  Is your credit limit set high enough?  What do are your dip switches set to?

Is this for the S+?

Probably is since it has IDO 22/23.

I suggest you just go ahead and get a WBA13 with the harness and change it out.  The last version of the software for ido022/023 for that is new colored $5, it will not accept colored $100's.  It really makes no sense using a wba10/11 when the 13's are so inexpensive now.

I changed the harness & put a WBA13 in it with this WBA 11 IDO22/23 version 3.0 chip & it won't even cycle? It cycles fully with a 3.8 chip, but won't lite the bezel to accept bills though? Is this not cycling because the chip I tried first is for a WBA11 & needs a 13 022/023 chip? If so do you know where I can get a copy of a WBA13 ID022/23 chip? Thank you for your help & appreciate

I purchase this non working PE+ because it had a WBA in it that I'd never seen & was curious. The monitor was out & an easy fix, but when I got it up this is how it was set up with a WBA 10. I was hoping for a working WBA 12/13 & upon better inspection at home noticed the WBA 10 setup & only taking $1s

The eprom for a wba11 is different than for a wba13.  The wba11 uses a 1Mbit eprom, the wba13 uses a 4Mbit eprom.  The WBA13 accepts the bills 4 ways, the WBA 11 accepts only 1 way (face up with president's head to the right)

Would you happen to a BA chip for a 13 I could buy or know someone who might have one to sell? Thanks much
