Title: Do I need to buy this accessory for a Bally Alpha?
Post by: Yoeddy1 on October 15, 2017, 06:00:42 PM
Hey guys,

Is this necessary for a Bally Alpha if you are going to power on/off the device from a surge protector?

Thanks,

Yes.  You need to turn on the 3 power switches from left to right, and off from right to left.

Seems to work.. I wonder what it consists of? Buy one and build your own after that. I know I was told to never turn them on by using a power strip.

Cool.  Who sells this?  I’ll definitely use a power strip to power on/off.  Don’t want to open the/close the door every time.

I've had my s9000 for a few years now.  I use a power strip to turn it on and off.  Hasn't blown up yet....YMMV.

Is Coorslight still in business ? I can't seem to locate them or their power delay circuits for sale anywhere.

I believe he's still a member here. Have you tried to PM him?

Don't waste your money, been using a surge protector to turn mine on and off for years.  Never had an issue.

Just heard back from coors.  No longer available due to high failure rates with the relay that was used.

Thanks,
Jason

I've always just open the door and power up the two cabinet switches.  I always leave the mpu power on.  Never had an issue.  I turn off all my machines individually.  I don't have enough current to power them all up with a single switch, it pops the breaker LOL.  I should have them setup in banks, but since I never really turn them all at the same time, I only turn on the one or two I'm going to be using.
