Title: Uni with 4-hole panel configuration?
Post by: danatlvc on February 27, 2017, 08:35:04 AM
I recently picked up & restored this Universal wide body W/8116 board. Oddly the player panel only has 4 buttons punched out which includes change light. If you have no credits up when you put coins in it you have to pull the handle nomatter how you have the dip swithes set? Once you have credits up initiating the credit option you can then play the Max Bet button & it will spin the reels without the handle, but if you press Bet 1 once or twice you then to pull the handle. Only the Max Bet will spin the reels without handle use?
I have never seen this setup has anyone else? I thought I'd share this one, as this panel is not found in the Manual? I can only find & have ever seen 2 hole & 5 hole configurations?
Thanks,
Dan

That is interesting. Never saw that before.
It maybe a custom made deck.(for whatever reason??) I noticed the change button looks a little too close to the cashout button. Look at pic's of other Uni's, the two buttons appear further apart.
I bet the wiring harness has the spin button wiring. And I would put Max Bet on the right with Bet One to it's left.

Oddly the harness looks originally setup to have the Max to the left with shorter wires & the Bet 1 to the right with longer??? What's also strange is there were 2 of these exact machines of the same game from the same casino with casino number placement stickers on them & glass when I picked this one up. The other 5 button hole machine was working & not available. Always something new to run across it seems
