No longer For Sale
-
I'd love to have this kit.
I'd rather see a price listed, instead of it being a "silent auction".
-
If intrested shoot me a offer. May be we can work something out. Thanks
-
I wouldn't have the slightest clue as to how much this kit could fetch.
-
Well like i said it wont go cheap. I know what i paid for it and it was a pretty penny. Its not your average kit that's for sure. But it is a good one for a collection. That's why I'm taking offers. Shes a rare kit. :)
-
If I had my tax check, I'd buy this. It would look great next to my Munsters machine.
The reel strips look like the non-backlit style. Is that correct?
-
Is this kit also missing the matching reel glass?
-
Yes that's correct they are not backlit. But they are New from a casino glass shop that printed them in Vegas. They are not originals so you know.
-
Yes i never recieved reel glass with the kit. So there is no reel glass.
-
I have the short reel glass for that kit.

I'm guessing you're not receiveing much of a response for 2 reasons... 1) your description of the kit is very vague. You only mentioned that the strips are aftermarket and not backlit when asked about them. and 2) you're trying to conduct a bidding war by taking offers ( ebay hack job )... Why not just list the kit on ebay with a minimum bid ; be forthcoming about the strips and go from there... Then you can post on NLG the kit you have on ebay If anyone is interested you can always remove the ad from ebay and sell to the interested NLG member... Either that or just post how much you want for the kit and be done with it ..... It's been 3 weeks since you posted the kit and you have 1 posted response .... I'd definitely alter my selling strategy as updated posts by you that it's still available and that it's going to ebay soon isn't pressuring too many members because NOBODY HAS ANY IDEA WHAT PRICE ( or price range) YOU WANT FOR THE KIT .... Good grief already !!!!!!
-
Thanks for the input. True, my selling strategy is probably not the best. I don't sell a lot on here I mostly buy. I went about it the way I bought it on here a couple years ago sorry. Thanks for your in site on the topic, I appreciate it. Sorry to the members if I offended any one in my selling strategy.
-
I guess what tollguy is saying is, just post your asking price, your not going to offend anyone by doing that.. Heck you might even get a sale or an offer.. When you post on EBay your dealing with fees and a lot of scammers..
-
Very good. Thanks guys!
-
Post $1000 OBO and go from there. That kit is not a dime a dozen, so coming up with a number can be tough for this one, but at least you'll have a number to work from.
Jason
-
Thanks Jason. I was wondering when you were going to chime in :)
-
That's all were asking. We don't have to agree or like the price, but at least there is a number.

Why stop there? Make it 10K.

Kinda what I was thinking.

Too rich for me taste... :talktothehand:

You can buy the whole machine for $900 and that must be too high too since it's been listed for awhile now.

That one at least had backlit reel strips.
-
Although this kit probably demands more money that most kits, not having the matching reel glass and original back-lit strips probably brings the value down quite a bit...correct?
-
So based on the existing listing on ebsy; is it safe to assume that WIldcherry21 wants less than $899 for the kit ? :Scratch-Head:
-
I hate ads where there is no price listed but WildCherry21 is not the only person that posts For Sale ads with no price.
I frequent other OT boards that REQUIRE a PRICE and a LOCATION for sale ads.
I have seen ads from some of my favorite vendors posted here with no price. I have to waste 2 or 3 PMs before I get a price. It would have been nice if WildCherry 21 got the hint after the first posting on this thread but he didn't. Shame on him. Shame on us for the bickering on his/this thread. It is not helping him with the sale of his kit.
I'm apologizing in advance if my opinion has offended anyone...
-
As a general rule we don't regulate how a poster chooses to word their WTB/WTS ads on this site. It's your stuff or need and how you come to a price is your business. Due to the high varience in value on machines and kits depending on location it can be counter-productive to offer advice on the open site. A machine worth 1k in my area might go for 600 in another area. That being said, if someone wants something or to get rid of something bad enough they'll get a price going. Go luck to all!
-
Good post cowboy. Exactly...if someone's interested in what a seller has posted, shoot the seller a message with an offer for shit's sake. If the seller counters, work it out. It's not that difficult.

That happens even when you post a price.
BTW .. those reel strips are the newer style Sunkist and EI are using for backlit.

Lot's going on in this thread. I know I have the whole machine-had it for years complete with coin in/out,bv,lighted front "this machine accepts tickets" etc. I know I would not even take less than a grand for it!. Oh mine also has back lit strips. It's and has been currently wrapped up like a Mummy--- :Tongue_Out: :mummy:
-
Well this has been an interesting post. Thanks for the input from all. I have decided it will be the easiest just to keep the Kit and install it like I planned 2 years ago. So the Mummy Kit is no longer for sale. Thanks.
-
I Would buy the short reel glass from Jim, to complete your glass kit. If all 3 pieces of glass are there , but strips are aftermarket, you still have value. Best of luck, Stephanie. Azslot

Thanks :)
