Title: WBA Question, Different plug type, What machine does this go to?
Post by: Amechanic on February 27, 2016, 12:29:44 PM
Hello all..

I have a WBA Bill acceptor that doesn't fit my S2000, and I was wondering what machine it does go to? It also has a different wiring harness on the assembly.

its a WBA 10/11,   model,   not sure if it can be adapted to an S-2000.   can be used on a S+,  one way acceptance.

Why couldn't you use the harness from an S+ opposite of 12/13 in an S+?

WBA 10 and 11 are a 1 Meg memory. WBA 12 and 13 Are 4 Meg. The difference in the plugs reflects the different CPU boards. Either one can be used in any machine, you just need the proper machine harness. Both 10/11 and 12/13 machine harnesses have 4 plugs. A 2 pin for power, 5 pin for communication and a 4 pin for bezel lights. There is also a 3 pin and i can't remember what it's for.

I don't believe I have ever seen WBA10/11 firmware for IDO 24.  I may exist, but I've never seen it before.

The reason I ask about the difference is that we bought a 20+ machine lot. We found 5-6 of this style transports in the parts pile. Neather me or my friend had seen one like them before. None of the machines seem to have the plug for them.. Could it be a Canadian setup? Some of these machines have stickers saying Canadian money only?

They are WBA10/11's long since discontinued and as has been stated in this thread before, they were used in older machines like S+ (Pre S2000). I have confirmation that early S2000's did indeed come with WBA 11's.  I've confirmation from a reliable source with at least version 3.60 software.
