Title: I-Game screen problem
Post by: rwalker192 on April 14, 2016, 03:54:18 PM
I have an I-game that I installed a lobstermaina software in. When I do the clear I get the normal clear screen.
Then when I put the game chip back in all I get is a garbled screen. (see picture) I have tried a different cpu and different game kit and still get the same.
Any ideas?

Have you checked your power supply output voltages?

I have had that screen before. Its been sometime but I'm pretty sure it was one of the cards. Clean all the cards with a pencil eraser and make sure they are seated good.

Check your game chips. You have one or more in backwards

I've had that problem with an older GK only thing I could do was wait for machine to warm up then it went away. Bit of a pain to do it every time though.
I would try checking all your connections, make sure they are tight or not pushed back somehow. Re-seating controllers ect..
Check for bent pins on the eproms. all the basics 1st.
After that can start to dig deeper.

Thanks for the ideas. I swapped out the mother board and got the monitor working. Now I have meter disconnect and coin in jam. Will swap I/O card and go from there.
