Title: Kortex KTL190L-01 Touch Screen Issue
Post by: jalpert on July 02, 2016, 09:04:48 AM
First off, I'm a newb so I might require a little more patience.  I have a Cortez KTL190L-01 in an IGT I-Game.  The touch on about 90% of the monitor works fine, the other 10 or so percent is not registering touches correctly.  In this one particular area of the screen, in the touch screen test, the registered touch is about an inch lower than the physical touch.

I don't believe this is bad calibration as most of the screen works fine.  I've calibrated about 5 times just to be sure.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

The touchscreen array has a break or a scratch compromising the matrix, the area affected may be in one the vertical or horizonal area, so when you touch, the system knows you are touching, but it only knows one of the new coordinates, that is why it seems to move either horizontally or vertically.  Unfortunately, that is not repairable.  You will need a new touchscreen glass to fix it.

Exactly what Rick said. I see this a lot, especially on bartops.
You need a new touchscreen (about $70). It's easy to replace.
