Hello,
Definitively looks like somebody has been playing with the 540 wiring, see attached 540 manual and a couple of pics of a machine I have. Let me know if you need any more close ups of the coin chute wiring. The coin comparater you have looks different too, maybe a US version.
With regards to the mk 6 video plug, I've got a couple of Mk6 MVP's. I'll take a few pics and show you what goes where.
Cheers
Blair

On the 540 make sure that the plugs are plugged in to the right spot.
My first Aristocrat was a 540 that wouldn't coin up and all that was
wrong was one of the cables from the door was plugged into the wrong
plug on the back plane.

Hey Casper
Coin Issue : With regards to the Mk4(540). When you put a coin in, does it go straight into the coin tray or does it go down through to the other optics below. If it goes straight into the coin tray then the coin comparatar could be faulty. I've posted another couple of closeup shots. You could always get into the test menu by holding the Robot button on the board whilst turning the machine on. You should then beable to do a coin optic test.

Hey Casper.
MK6 video output wires from the back board. There are some wires in the plug that aren't used.
I traced the wires as below, these are the ones that hook up to the CRT monitor.
Red wire: red signal (rgb)
Green Wire: green signal (rgb)
Blue wire: blue signal (rgb)
Black wire: ground
White wire: horizontal synchronization (H)
Yellow wire: vertical sync(V)
See pic's of the plug, with the wire colors.
