Title: ELVIS S2000 Vision Project
Post by: therockinelvis on November 11, 2016, 01:58:30 PM
I've had this project going for quite a while. Finally came to the realization that it will never be the machine it was. So I did a few mod's and at least it now can play and looks pretty good. I have a nice MP4 video, wish this site would upgrade to MP4 from MP3. I think everyone's phones are on MP4 now.

Can't post any photo's. Moderator HELP Glad to see the photo show up. It was straight when I posted it. Don't know why it turned. Windows 10 is not my friend.

I even have the original reel strips and CD for it. Won't do any good without software and bonus motor.

Elvis:

Looks like you did a great job.  I will miss you guys in Pottstown this year.  I tried to PM Denny see how he is doing but I got no response.  Keeping him in my prayers.

Wonderful to see this Elvis, you're the man! My wife loved playing these machines years ago when you could find them almost everywhere in Vegas.

Here's a few photos from back then of Elvis machines at the Golden Nugget and the 4 Queens. Seems like there were at least two different versions of Elvis slots, the bonus part of the machine varied, some had a black pointer hand that moved around to pick the bonus you got, on the machines below the bonus was a circle of small lighted 45 vinyl records and each 45 would light in sequence and finally stop on your bonus award. Elvis machines were still in Tunica casinos when we were there a few years ago, but that is right in his old neighborhood and the King's place is just up the road at Graceland so Elvis is still quite popular there.

It's still a work in progress. Trying to get a program to play some kind of Elvis on monitor.

I remember reading somewhere about a small video player that will play a video you load into it. It has a video out connector that you connect to a standard display monitor, it can be set to loop-play the video continuously. They also have those picture-frame photo display devices that will show a slideshow of many photos, each photo is on the screen for several seconds. I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't one that does video. So any of these ideas might give you want you want for the Elvis machine.
