so, you're still getting an 83F on bootup?

Is J12 jumper enabled/on?  The battery will be disabled until there's a jumper there.

When I picked mine up, the jumper (posts) were broken straight off the board, so I didn't even realize one was supposed to go there, and I needed to fix that before I could do anything else...

If the jumper is on, but still getting 83F, you may want to check with a multimeter to make sure the battery is actually flowing through that jumper...

If the RAM chips are getting battery power you could try swapping them with each other then clearing again.
Also check for bent pins on U28 and U43 when you re-inserted the game chips.
Also make sure DSW1 switch #8 is off after clearing.

Without that switch being on you won't get a full clear.
If the front of the tray is facing you the 8 position DIP switch is on the left half way up the board.

Hi, got the 6000 going. It was the j 12 posts . They were slightly green  from corrosion.  You had to look really close to see it. Used small file and had to dig jumper a bit. Know I have to get bill validator  going the front light is on. It even stays on when the door opens?.. what might it be ...thank alot guys....
