I bought a BB1 machine a year ago loaded with Fairy's Fortune, and it's done very well. Recently, I bought several games, and those that are the same OS version run great (a favorite is Pegasus). I just bought a copy of John Wayne with what is supposed to be matching OS (V1460, Family H9.25), and when I try to run it I get "PREPART DSS Signature Validation Failure" message. The seller of the John Wayne software said they tested it on a BB1 with the V2000 BIOS and it works.
My machine has 512Mb, and has the CF slots stacked front/back, with game in front, and OS in back (and a "green" dot on the board). The BIOS chip says V1160. I am using a 64Mb V1810 RAM CLEAR card.
If the easiest/next step is to simply swap the BIOS, do you have suggestions on a supplier?

You might compare jurisdiction chips with the seller as well.
Thanks,
