The antique slot machine owes its popularity and longevity to Tom.   His knowledge of slot machines will be greatly missed.  Had many drinking sessions with him at the Chicago shows over the years. What a loss.

are we the only 2 people in the slot machine hobby who know who Tom was?  What an injustice.

They might not have seen this post and started one themselves. Here is the link to another one. This site deals primarily with the antique coin op industry, which as we both know, was his forte.

This  along with the coinopcollecterforum site above has recognized the loss. I remember meeting him in Atlanta for the first time and was impressed by this giant mans handshake. Very big and strong hands, like my dads were. He will genuinely be missed.  :hail: :( :hail:

Bought almost all of my antique slot parts from Tom at the Chicago show every year. Your right he was a big man with a bigger heart, unless you pissed him off. He will be missed. Bill. Keystone Coin-Op.

Met Tom 35 years ago... bought a lot of parts from him over the years when rebuilding the old mechanical slots. Nice, easy going guy.
