Title: Transporting a Game King
Post by: chibooey on February 23, 2019, 04:18:44 PM
Would I possibly damage a Game King if transported it long distance on its side or back?  I understand that transporting it on its base is the best method, but I have a hard cover on my truck bed and don't want to have to pull it off if I can avoid it.  Of course the machine would be fully strapped down.  Can I mitigate the possibility of damage by removing the boards, LCD and printer?  Just trying to come up with a plan that will work for me.  I would appreciate your opinions.

I normally transport them in bed of my truck on their back.  Make sure there's no coins in the hopper (if it has one).  Also not a bad idea to remove the CRT (if it has one) so it's transported in it's upright position.  If has an LCD then I wouldn't worry about it.

Remove the hopper if it has one. Remove tickets if it has a printer. Carefully inspect the bottom area inside the machine for any loose screws, washers, coins, etc. It's surprising what you can find. After transporting, be sure everything is well seated before you power up (Power plug, MPU, monitor, etc.) Should be fine transported on it's back.
