Title: Love Boat BB2 question
Post by: br549autosales on April 23, 2020, 12:41:11 PM
Will Love Boat work if the top box is not there or will it be like Monopoly Grand Hotel on a bonus & you can't view the bonus round?

Love boat is a BB1 game, not BB2.

Also, it requires a tall top machine with monitors top and bottom using a CF card installed the top monitor.  Won't play without it.

Does Love Boat software require an NX2 CPU or just a standard BB1 type CPU?

What do you think the compact flash cards are called that you insert into the CPU to play the Games?  Hint....Hint

Yes, those are BB1.

SSOS Operating System only plays on a BB1.

You also need the card for the TSE TSE board.

That set is incomplete, it is missing the top box card.

No, you don't need whatever that card is, you need the correct compact flash for "The Love Boat"!

Ok, so are these not the right ones or do I need a 3rd card of some type? Now I'm lost. What exactly is a top box card?

You have a dual screen bb1 game.  As explained earlier, it requires 3 compact flash cards for it to work. One goes on the TseTse that is connected to the top screen, then the other two on the BB1 mpu.  You are missing the card that goes on the TseTse that will drive and display the top graphics for the game.  The correct card is labeled L608-000-1000 on a 64MB Compact Flash card.

Pretty sure my game has a TSE board in the top box, I'll have to check & see. That being said, does the other compact flash card fit into the TSE board?

The card you are missing goes into the tsetse box.  The so called "fooler card" you have works on games that did not have a top monitor but had some sort of lightbox with some prize amounts that a back light would indicate the amount won.  It "fools" the system into thinking it has the controller for the light box and thus is used a way to bypass that requirement.  But on games that have a top screen with graphics related to the game, you need the specific card for that game to go into that tsetse board that connects to the top screen.  I should mention that the game will work without an actual top monitor as long as the tsetse board has the right game card on it, but you will have no idea what is going on when the games has an arrow pointing up to see the graphic on the top monitor.

You are missing the correct card for love boat, it has to be the card labeled L608-000-1000, there is no other substitute that will work.
