Hello, I have an S2000 Crystal 7s machine that keeps giving me a display passes self test over and over again. So far I have swapped out the power supply with a known working one from a spare machine and still no change. I have also swapped out the board and reels from this machine onto a spare one and everything worked fine on the spare machine. That tells me that the power supply, bv, board and chips are good on this machine. There are times when it gives me display communications failure. I open the door and close it a few times to reset it and its back to display passed self test error. I have already tried clearing the board a few times with my clear chip and reprogramming it with my key chip but still no change. Once in a while it will show the actual normal working display with 0.01 in credits but the bv wont light up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Try removing the BV & booting it up. It will give you an error but open & close the door & see if the display is normal. Anything in the netplex circuit could be at fault including a ticket printer.
