I'll assume you checked the touchscreen serial cable that plugs into the brainbox and at the monitor.

Might also want to check (with the power off) the two metal boxes above the reels and make sure there pushed in all the way.

If you are not getting an error, then something is wrong between the touchscreen and the controller.  Since all the cabling is internal, it is probably not that.  Sometimes it is a grounding issue.  Try doing a touchscreen test from the diagnostic menu to see if the the little dot on the screen moves with your touch.  If it doesn't, take off your shoes and with your barefoot on the floor try again.  If it works, then you have a grounding issue.  There's a ground strap that is usually connected between the topbox door and the cabinet, make sure that it is there. this provides the ground to the chassis.

If it doesn't work at all and you see no motion on the touchscreen when you do the test, then you would need to troubleshoot with a known working touchscreen controller to rule that out, unfortunately it is inside the monitor and the power wires are soldered to the board, so it takes some doing to replace the controller.  If a known working controller does not fix the issue, then you have a bad touchscreen.
