Title: cherry master crt
Post by: brianfink on March 11, 2014, 05:37:05 AM
I have a counter top cherry master with crt monitor. When I first turn it on the monitor makes a noise kind of like ticking on and off, If I play around with the monitor adjustment board I can make the ticking get louder and softer and eventually the monitor will come on. I looked at the main power supply and it definatly needs recaped or replaced could this be the problem? Or do I  need a new monitor or driver board.

I think if you do a recap of the board you should be just find. Its usually capacitors when it starts up on the edge like that. Give the model # and make and maybe we can locate a cap kit for you.

Thanks for the reply, I already took it to a guy here in town that owns a computer shop, he is going to fix it for me for $100.
