Title: DBV-200-sh validator keeps cycling
Post by: pinwizman on June 11, 2015, 07:41:24 PM
I have a 5500 Black & Whit Double Jackpot. It has a DBV-200-sh Bill validator in it. $1.00 - $100.00. I turn the machine on and everything boots up normal. With door still open, I get the code 50, door open. When I close the door and the machine re-boots the validator will continue to cycle over and over, Will not stop. What could be the problem? Any help would be appreciated. Just a note that I'm a rookie when it comes to slots. Only got it a week ago. I finally got everything else working except for the validator.

Sounds like something's not engaging as it should. Check for broken gear teeth on both cash can and validator.

All gears good. Cash can good, as far as I can see validator looks fine.

Thanks, I'll see what I can come up with.

I had a feeling that the cycling might be software. I replaced the Mains and did a Clear, the cycling quit, how ever the validator will not except bills.
Does the light in the bezel have to be connected and working for the validator to work? just asking. The wires for the bezel light have been cut off, and I'm not sure where it would plug in. I'm thinking that a plug hanging loose under the validator is the correct plug.
