Hi everyone! I'm late, as usual, but I made it. So here's my fourth post and first open one.
I was going to suggest that we have a button to toggle between showing SMS code and showing formatted text in the reply box, but I see that we already have one! Silly me. It's the last button on the right in the second row. COOL.
You may have been late, but not as late as me... Life keeps getting in the way of life! :'( ;D :o
I just found the new board and found I had to register my user name and create a new account even though I have been on the board since 2010.
My new profile shows me as a new user since Today and it shows I have left zero posts.
Just wondering if it can be fixed so it shows that I have been on since 2010 when I really started. :Scratch-Head:

Hi, Just re-registering for the new forum site. Looks great ! Been a member since June of 2013, but was a long time lurker. Love this site. What got me into slots more actually.
Will the old site stay be around forever? Would be nice to search up older helpful information.

Yeah, but I'm afraid if I see something that I want, I won't be able to buy unless I have enough posts built up. Is that the case?
Hi all!
Just bought my first Slot on Sunday, and now my second last night!
Already have TITO deluxe boards coming from Jim. This forum has been a major source of new slot owner knowledge so far...Thank you to all that have shred their knowledge here...Very much appreciated.
I currently have a 5 reel Double Red Hot 777 machine (round Top), and a Triple Stars 3 reel.
Still want to get a Nudge machine or a Haywire. Any recommendations?

Welcome to the addiction. These machines have a tendency to multiply overnight. You turn off the lights, go to sleep, next thing you know your 1 machine now has buddies.
Welcome EVERYONE new here...

I remember the MOOG, but that was Maurice "Moog" Johnson. He was our 6 ft 6 in center on our High School basketball team. But that was back in the middle 50's so I guess he was ahead of his time ! :24: :24: (Boy, am I old !!! ) :duh:

Thanks
Welcome, Melissa!
Post pictures of your new machine, soon as you get it, and then the next, and the next and the next.
What's up everyone. Longtime lurker finally surfacing. Looking forward to another avenue for slot machines to relieve me of monetary wealth! :drool04:

Hello everyone.
Got myself a MVS 6 Slot just before xmas. At first it wouldn't turn on, after some fiddling it started working. I cleaned up the games and most of them came back to life too.
Look forward to being a part of this site
New to the world of slots. Picked up a BB2 recently. Got a lot to learn and the addiction has already kicked in. Thanks for the site, looking forward to contributing.

Welcome to NLG, glad to see you here!
Lots of helpful folks here that will try to answer any questions you have. Post a photo of your machine when you can, especially any problem areas on it, that will help us to know better what you have.
Mark, :NLG_WELCOME: One thing you will need to look at is to see if the green varta battery is still on your mpu board. These batteries will leak in time and possibility ruin your board. These batteries are not needed for home use. If you have a 500 series board you can remove just the battery, if a enhanced board 1270 you will need to also remove u-16. Post a pic of your mpu board and we can see what you have. Remember make sure the power is OFF before removing any components.
:NLG_WELCOME:
Welcome David, glad to have you aboard. Congrats, on your first IGT S+ machine.
Am I the first new user since 2014?
Hello to all. I just bought my first machine. It is a Bally Game Maker machine. The only problem so far is it giving a coin error, I have cleaned the comparator out per advice on this board and it has reduced the error considerably. As a bonus the machine came with 1500 tokens.
Just want to say hi to everyone
Hello Everyone!
I glad to know you and this site. I collect antique slots, occasionally newer slots and poker machines and am a former arcade owner and street operator.
Greetings all,
New member, here to gather info on all things slots.
Hi Everyone and all members of NLG.
.
I've landed on this forum many times in my GOOGLE search for slot machine parts. So tonight I took the time to sign-up.
I've been working in the slot industry for the best part of my life. Not at a any casino, but as a supplier of game artwork to casinos and the major manufacturers, such as IGT, Aristocrat, Universal (Aruze), WMS etc.
.
Hi Everyone and all members of NLG.
...
If I need some shouting at, please do so .. OUT LOUD (I don't mind)
Best to all
Ant
Welcome to NLG! :waving_flag:
We have some Game Maker-familiar folks here. Have you found the Bally Game Maker discussion area?

Hello!! Newbie here  . Just purched a S200 Double Triple Diamond Deluxe With Cheese and am excited to learn more about how it works. It's in pretty good shape with only one little glitch we can tell. But will post about that soon hahaha. Just wanted to say thank you for letting me join and thank you in advance for all the help :hail: .
hello everyone. I just purchased a new S+ haywire machine. I have been looking for this machine for a while. It as the first machine I played on my 18th Birthday and finally after over 20 years I found one near me for a steal. It has a few issues but it does currently work. Just needs some updating.
Looking forward to learning what I can here and also hoping to add a few more machines to my collection soon.
Shaun
Just joined. Finally got my hands on a slot machine (non working) and came here for ideas.
Hey all - I'm a pinball guy that just picked up a project video poker. The game is an IGT Fortune II so I'm headed to that area to read and probably ask a few questions.:NLG_WELCOME:
Howdy from Texas! I was a member here several years ago. I think they archived all of the old posts. At any rate, I'm getting back into slot machines and this site was a life saver for me back in the day.
I'm almost finished with getting a topper installed on my Triple Stars S2000 machine. I also have a Bonus Spin Sizzling Seven game and a Super Spin Sizzling Seven game.
Love the site.
Cheers from Texas

Howdy from Texas as well! Good to find another slot admirer! Also looking to start my collection. I've collected assortments of pinball machines over the last few years (I design software/hardware systems for those games) and I am absolutely intent on finishing out my game room with a few slots. Love the WMS BlueBird stuff (top star, reels o dublin, etc). Also love some of the things you find in Class II casinos like the VGT red screen slots, though you don't really ever see those come up for sale.
If anyone knows of places I should be looking for decent deals, let me know! (Right now NLG Classifieds is my primary resource).
Cheers from Texas!

Hey everyone. First timer here. Actually, first forum ever joined. Bought a used IGT triple diamond deluxe from an old couple. Opened it up, and got a heavy dose of reality in the face. Will certainly be checking the various topics for advice. Anyhow...looking forward to this all. :applause:
Hello everyone; first-time poster!
I just purchased a WMS BB1 Dean Martin's Wild Party for the wife as a Christmas gift. I hope she likes it!
oh hello everyone, I posted an intro in a fresh post here http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=27427.0 (http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=27427.0) before I saw this forum.
Greetings from Canada!
Found this site searching for information on slot machine manuals. Just bought a Bally's EM 1102-207 with a date stamp of 11/8/76. It is a 50 cent machine in working order. Just looking for more information and the ability to head off problems. Thanks
Welcome Rick!
Hmmmm by chance is your birthday Nov 1985? :propeller:
So...
Here I am. I just snagged a pair of IGT slot machines when I wasn't even looking to acquire them, but the opportunity was far too good to pass up. Long ago (25+ years) I got a Bally 1090 that I still have, so now it has some company! The new IGTs allegedly did work, but haven't in a while. (Stop me if that sounds painfully familiar.) And I found this website while looking for some troubleshooting help. I've already contributed $10 and downloaded a bunch of files, so hopefully there will be some useful info there.
I realize that "Welcome Wagon" isn't a troubleshooting forum, so I'll just mention a few basic facts: The machines are - from what I've been able to identify so far - "S-2000" models. No video screens. One manufactured in 2003, the other in 2004.
Thanks to the people that built this website, and put up this useful forum (even if my son did walk by, look at the screen, and ask me if I fell into an Internet time warp back to the 1990s!)
Scott
Greetings -
I have found this to be an incredible reference as I tinker with my IGT S+, so I thought it would be appropriate to register. Thanks for everything I have found so far.
Jeremy
I suppose I should introduce myself here. I have a history with arcade video game collecting and operating. I recently purchased both a non working IGT PE+ Slant Top Video Poker and a non working Universal Target Scope Quarter Slot Machine. I have been busy restoring them and have recently gotten them both playable. The poker game is fully restored now other than cleaning. The slot still needs repair of the bill validator system, and I need to build a base or something for it.
I am a coin op with a route in northern california. I do all kinds of amusement machines. I find that the skillset require to repair, restore, and maintain arcade and redemption games is quite similar to working with the gambling machines. The hardest part is actually that there is a lot less documentation around the gambling games. That also makes it a lot more fun and satisfying to fix and repair.
I have found this site and the members to be very helpful and knowledgeable. I hope I can one day help others as well.
Welcome KaPH33n!
And what does your user name mean??? You'd probably be good at working on Bally EM machines as they share parts with the pinball games.
:NLG_WELCOME:
It's a 20+ year old nickname I have from IRC and Gaming. If you remember 1337 speak it was a thing back in those days. So KaPH33n is kapheen, which is a misspelling of caffeine.

Hello! Name is Sean, used to be a slot tech at an indian casino from 1995-2008. Am currently self-employed as a slot tech at a northern lake tahoe casino and since we have a lot of older games and after the 10 + YEAR hiatus I'm finding myself looking up things here often so thought I'd join.
New to slots and wife found this site :)
We have 3 IGT S-Plus slot machines, Triple Diamond, Strike and Wild Cherry.
They all need a little work that I plan to tackle my self! First job is to get the handle working on 1 - it's currently locked up.

Hi,
I’m the new one....
Just bought a 5 times pay Slot in Austria and try to solve some issues.
Hopefully I can fix it with your help... :Tongue_Out:
Sorry for my bad English.... I’m Tom from Bavaria Germany. But after some beer 🍺 it becomes better and better
Have a great Day
I’m a little late to this party. I’ve been here a few months and have met some of you already. But I’ll post some info here since I missed it last time.
I just bought my first slot, a Super Spin Sizzling Sevens 25 cent (3 credits) machine. My name is Robert and I’m hoping to learn all I can about these amazing machines. I am somewhat technically inclined, so I think so should catch on quick.
I hope to get another machine in the future. My other hobby is restoring my 1926 Dodge Brothers automobile. I Hope to make friends and interact with you all as I restore my (and hopefully many more) machine.

Welcome Robert.
This is a great forum. One way to learn is simply go to the section where you see your machine type, and start reading posts. There's also an archive site that has a plethora of information as well, especially on the older stuff. http://newlifegames.net/nlg/ (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/)
I love your old Dodge! We have an "other hobbies" area here too. You're welcome to post your progress there. Maybe I will as well. I just started to "re-restore" my 57 Willys CJ3B that's been sitting in my garage for only 25 years.
Hello everyone. Im a tech with 15+ years of experience in the casino business, currently working in Africa. Not my first time here but as I spend the last two days working on a Atronic SG and during ram clear procedures I was browsing your forum so Ive decided to join. Love my job and consider it to be my favorite pastime. If anyone needs parts or machines from European producers feel free to contact me.
Cheers :frosty_beer:
Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum and to slots in general. After collecting some German machines, I decided to go the Vegas way and now I have 3 different IGT machines. One is already equipped with a bettor tito. The next will be upgraded then I received an ekey 7 which will be delivered tomorrow. :applause: I hope my machine will say "show chips". If not, is it possible to upgrade a machine to "show chips"?
Regards from Germany
Andy
Hey everyone. New to owning a couple machines. This site is a great resource, and I really appreciate the knowledge that is shared. It has already helped me out so much. Especially with an older machine, which I believe is called a "Treasure Wheel?" I saved it from being tossed. The owner obtained it and didn't know anything about it. They never used it as it needs some TLC, but they just wanted it gone.
Hi all. Frequent lurker but finally joined because the machine I just got is a bit above my head. I have a Bally S5500 and an IGT S+. My future wife loves Invaders From The Planet Moolah so we got a BB2. I will probably need help at some point with it. Right now I have the game and OS CF carts but I do not have a clear card so until tomorrow, I cannot even see the thing boot :(
EDIT: Which forum on here would be appropriate for the bb2?
hi all. just found the site. I have acquired a igt s-plus wild cherry slot and a igt 5x pay slot to try and make run, I'm from the arcade world so this is new territory any suggested starting points?
Heyoo
I was told I suppose to hello to yall.
Just stopping into the "welcome" thread to say hello. I've got a mid-90s IGT PE+ video poker machine I'm working on repairing/restoring. I bought it in great shape 15+ years ago, but it suffered mightily in a storage unit for years, and now needs lots of TLC to bring it back into shape.
I've been involved with owning & repairing arcade video games (late 70s to late 80s), pinball machines and a jukebox for 20+ years, but this IGT PE+ is my only "gaming" machine. It seems like NLG is the place for gaming stuff, so I joined up. I used to be active on "KLOV" (arcade and pinball centric forums) for years, and was on usenet to read and post in rec.games.video.arcade (RGVAC) back before that. I think it was channelmanic over on KLOV that brought this forum to my attention.
Anyhow, glad to be on board here. If you're interested, I've got a thread started over in the IGT PE+ forum.
Darren
Hello everyone. I'm new to the scene and the nlg forum seemed like the place to be. Lots of good information here so I decided to join. Just bought 2 IGT s2000 machines (a white ice and a double gold)... First time owner and I'm hooked. I was warned by the guy I bought them from that collecting these machines can be an addictive hobby, I can see why.... First time playing these machines with some friends and I had a reel tilt on one and a cash box error on the other. Thanks to the nlg forums, I got them both fixed in a hurry.. Now looking to add TITO if anyone has suggestion. Sooo much to learn.
Hi there!!! Total newb to all this!!! My Dad is unable to get out to the casino anymore and decided to bring the casino to him by buying a Double Diamond Deluxe machine!!! Good morning everyone! I just picked up a Bally E series slot yesterday and am looking forward to tuning it up and getting it working again (powers on but won't play consistently, the reels don't spin very fast and don't always stop on their own, error code 43). Looks like there are a lot of helpful resources here. I'm going to start with a lube job and making sure the reel mechanism is adjusted correctly.
I have restored some similar machines in the past. I have 2 pinball machines (Williams "Space Mission" and Stern "Big Game"), 3 arcade cabinets (Centipede, Arkanoid, and a Ms Pacman currently plugged in to a multigame board), and 3 pachinko machines (1 fully mechanical and 2 electronic).
This one armed bandit will make a fine edition to my collection. The theme of this machine is pretty bog-standard boring though, so I will probably end up printing new reels and payout information to a more fun Mario theme (I'm thinking the card memory game in SMB3).
Cheers!

Greetings all, just a school teacher looking for fun that will save me $$ in the long run vs trips to Sin City. Really want to buy a WMS BB2 with the Princess Bride theme, but also looking at a huge step up in cost from a local to me 3x4x5x on CL. Since this will be my first machine, input from those that know more is greatly appreciated
Save up and buy what you really want. You will spend more if you get another machine now because it is less money but in a few months get what you really want.

Hello there everyone - I'm Justin, 50 year old Cloud Engineer from New Zealand. I've just stumbled upon an Aristocrat Wild One II poker machine and I'm keen to try to get her up and running. I've been an arcade machine fan all my life so I'm stoked to finally own one - even if it does only play poker (eventually).
Cheers !
Hello everybody! I'm a 30 year old data analyst from Chicago who was given a Bally S5500 from a friend who couldn't get it up and running.
I'm excited to learn more about it and hopefully get it working for when the friends are over!
Just checking in so I don't get kicked off as a bot.
Needed to see images/attachments as doing some tune ups on my 10 year old (to me) table top IGT GameKing 3802 board.
Have already replaced the CRT with LCD, buttons, battery, lights and bill detector for new 20's.
Thanks for the site, it has come in handy over the years.
I can't seem to be able to post a question in the forums only reply
I think there is nothing better than playing any slot after a hard day. Also like to play music and have a glass of whiskey.
Hello everyone. First post here. I've had a few slots that I have collected over the last few years. I have a couple Bally s5500, An old Universal, and an IGT s+. Not a single one of them worked when I got them. All work now except the S+. It just needs all the coin in/out parts. Recently I was fortunate enough to pick up an old Bally 742a em machine dirt cheap. It also was not working. Within 48 hours I had it up and running. This site has been a great resource of information on all these machines.
It's actually the nickname of my old dirt track stock car. Of course it was painted green. Kids at the track started calling it that.
New user here, mostly have been lurking to get information!
I have a few S2000s, G23s, and WMS machines. Great resource here, so became supporting member. Maybe I'll post more :)
Hi all, new guy here.. I have a 1978 Aristocrat Quadreel which I have been working on for a few weeks now, mechanically I have managed to fix a few things, and it running well. Now im working though a heap of electronic component failures. This forum keeps popping up on my google searches, so its time I joined!
Thanks
New "old" member. Was a contributing/vip/etc member on the old site, like back around 2010 - I have the same username and email address as before. Stepped away from the hobby for awhile, finally have time to play with games again. Although I had to get rid of my slots (excluding an old Bally EM), I just picked up a Game King. Getting ready to make a post in the GK section.
:NLG_WELCOME: Very nice machine!

Hello everyone!
My name is Jordan and I am an Utah native currently living in Orlando, Florida. Long story short, I am a man of many hobbies who, by way of a weekly poker game and trying out a couple of pachislo machines, has dove headfirst into learning about slot machine ownership. I’m moving back to UT in June for my medical residency and hoping to pick up my first machine when I get there. I’m part of a great poker chip forum and seems like this community is just as great - can’t wait to learn from you all.

Hello all. I am new to the site and getting an IGT Hexbreaker, 19" cabinet with a 3902 (I think!) installed, so looking for additional boards and doing a LOT of research. Seems like a fun hobby. Post picts and stories when it's officially mine.

Hi Everyone!
I hope you're all well! I'm new here and am wanting to buy a slot machine for fun at home. I'd love to obtain a Willy Wonka Dreamer of Dreams, one day, or a Everi Little Shop of Horrors. Seems kind of like a pipe dream as I've not seen either on the secondary market, but maybe one day.
Anyway, just doing research to figure out which machine would be best for games availability. From some quick reading I've gathered that machines can be setup for other games with carts/usbs like arcade machines. I have a preference for modern games with bonuses. If you have any reco's please don't hesitate to chime in!
Cheers,
Tam
Edit: Totally forgot about the 25+ older law in California. :EmoticonHelp4: Guess I can wait a few years until can get a BB1. :rotfl:

Get an IGT Game King!! Older... but plenty of fun games. You can also upgrade from the older 3902 platform to the "044" by swapping out the backplane and the MPU. That gives you a choice of more (slightly) interactive games with bonus rounds. Not quite like what's out there today, but fun nevertheless. My favorite games are Texas Tea and Fortune Cookie. Hopefully some other members may chime in with different ideas.
