I am installing this 22" screen in my bb1 Monster Jackpots project & was wondering if anyone knows how to run the wires for the touchscreen?
-
Heres a pic of the plug.
-
Heres a pic of the touchscreen wires behind the cover. I know I use the ground wire, just not sure of the other 2 wires I need to run to the backplane.

So I came up with Blue = Ground, Red & Brown for my input & output . Does this sound right? I don't want to fry my touchscreen :EmoticonHelp4:

Here's my home made harness for my bb2 conversion. I can make you one if you wish. If you are handy making them, here is the pinout for the one I built and use.
Micro Fit MiniFit
Pin 1 to Pin 1
Pin 2 to Pin 2
Pin 3 to Pin 3
Pin 4 to Pin 4
Pin 5 to Pin 10
Pin 6 to Pin 10

Thank you, I ended up just using the red & brown (sig in & out)wires & the blue ground wire. When I get a chance I'll have to make one of these harnesses to clean up my install.

Rick,
If you get a chance and are willing to make one up let me know, I will need one shortly.
Drop me a PM with payment information.
Thanks!

Interesting, if you only used tx/rx and ground, where is the touchscreen controller getting power from?

The main power wire going into the monitor also powers the touchscreen control board.
-
Interesting, the ceronix monitor I purchased requires the 24 volt and 12 volt lines, and the power to touchscreen. Now that I look closely at a pair of OEM monitors I later acquired, only the 12v power is required for those. The touchscreen cable has the 12volts wired into it, and it seems to just be redundant then. I will try and remove the power pins from the harness to see if I get a touchscreen error one of these days.

For those that do not know where pin 1 is..
On the monitor, looking at the rs232 connector, bottom-left pin is pin 1.
On the connector coming from the backplane / bulkhead, J4, Pin 1 is the row above/below the red wire. The row with the red wire has a No Connection (NC) pin, then three grounds.
