Title: Coin Comparator sensor wiring
Post by: Rens on December 13, 2021, 04:18:46 PM
Hi All,

I got myself an OZ/NZ IGT machine of a New Zealand listing site which has issues.
One of the issues is that it has an old Comparator, where either by previous repair or by design, the sensor wiring does not have a connector. When I received the machine the wiring seemed broken (dry joints) from the board.
The PCB has PEM-46 marked on it, from other posts I believe this to be a precursor to the CC-16 multi voltage comparator.

when it come to the sensor wiring am I safe to assume this would be arranged the same manner as the current CC-16 boards.
As in when  orientating the the board with the sensor connection upright I get    12 - 34567
1,2 - deflector coil
3 - Black
4 - Unused/test
5 - white
6 - Red
7 - yellow

If not is there a way of easily determining which port should be what on the sensor by means of using a multimeter?
