Come one, come all! RDaniel (Richard), Badbaud (Alan) and myself have been planning to have lunch together for several months now.
We wanted to extend the invitation to all of our Electro Mechanical family to join us for great food and fellowship in Las Vegas Nevada.
DATE- JULY 15th 2019
Time- High Noon (12pm)
Location- Lo Lo's Chicken and Waffles 2040 N. Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas NV 89108 :fryingpan:
None of us have any affiliation with the venue at all. Alan simply says that this joint has great food, big portions, and is easily accessible.
AFTER we feast and burp Alan will host A TOUR OF THE K-LAR SHOP, only a few blocks away, where he promises to SELL CASES AND CASES of EM parts at insanely discounted prices. Reportedly there will be a few complete machines ready for sale also.
IF you will attend please let us know so that Alan can reserve a large table.
Put a face to all of these online handles.

Sounds like fun, but there is no way I can afford a trip to Vegas from MI.. Plus I don't think my back would allow me to sit for the length of the flight.. Maybe someday..

Sorry to hear. I will have some board testers for sale plus plenty of non EM parts and boards available.
Got a never used PE Plus test station and a never used V5500 tester among the 10 testers on my shelf.

Are you selling a EM Board Tester. I’d make the trip if I were able, but the long flight would just kill my back. I had a hard enough time taking the wife to a Dr visit the other day, and that was only a 40-45 min drive. They would have to cart me off in a wheel chair!

Denny you are officially registered :wave: We look forward to seeing you! bad I think that you can put me down for one of those testers IF it comes with your tutorial on how to use the thing. I dont have a clue. Will it work for the boards on my Fortune 1 games that you and Larry fixed for me? I have 4 working Fortune 1 games now and looking for more. A way to fix them would be nice.
This is going to be a great time. All of us have aches and pains. I would surmise that there are more day behind us all than in front of us. This gathering is part of my personal commitment to live my BEST life with what I have left. Meeting good people with similar interests is high on my list of things to do.
My other bucket list item that I will be doing while in Vegas is eating, and enjoying, one of those EXPENSIVE Japanese Kobe Beef Steaks. Only 9 places in the country that sell REAL certified Kobe beef and 3 of them are in Sin City.

Glad to hear you are coming.
I am also bringing my 87 year old EM tech who has worked on them since their inception plus my service tech and my board apprentice so add them to the list.
Richard, the EM tech, is the best one I have ever found to work on the older systems and can relate history on EM machines that is rare and revealing.

Denmark you are richer than you think. Fly on over and win you expenses back at the craps table. I have to fly to Vegas and pay for a hotel. I would not miss it for the world. The people on this forum have become like family to me over almost 15 years.
I have never seen a hearse pulling a u-haul trailer. You cant take it with you.

Thank you for opening this invite to us. I would love to put a face to those who help all of us but unfortunately I have conflicting work schedule on this week. I intend to meet Alan during my vacation at the end of July but I will miss meeting and having lunch with you.

Less than 2 weeks to go. It reminds me of Denny, God rest his soul, and the Pottstown gatherings. Denny made shirts for us and put out a very nice spread. I was not there the first year but I understand there was some good times in the pool and such.
Perhaps this gathering can become a NLG tradition as well.

I don't have any EM's but I would come and hang out if I had know about this earlier.
How do we keep threads like these front and center ?

Thought I would post some pictures that were taken with a drone.
Pictures show front EM section middle of shop and testers etc.
Lots of reel assemblies, EM and others.
Extensive library of manuals.
Board trays, coin trays, board testers, coin mechs, bill validators, harnesses, reel tapes, decals, monitors.
Advise if a particular part is needed take your measurements before visiting.
Stock up on any future needs now, don't come in looking for a single part for a current project, the next time a rare part is need it may not be there.

This is a strange request - especially for the gang that is getting together but if anyone comes across a (electric) table limit sign for a craps table please give it to David (Statfreak) and let me know how much and I will PayPal, wire or etransfer funds. Have fun !

I asked the waitress if she provided any complementary ear plugs, then complained two more times about how loud the music was and they finally turned it down.

Me! I decided last minute to make the drive out there.
There were a few non-members as well, but I can't recall their names. One was Alans apprentice who is learning and knows a great deal on lots of the older slots... EM and the newer ones.
Here's my list of who I knew:Statfreak
Alan (badbaud), Rdaniel, Op-Bell, RiseLikeRa (Terrance) , 63mini (Edwin), Steve Squires, StatFreak, and more! Someone else please fill in the rest.
Alan also had invited an older man (he didn't seem old to me!), in his 80's who had an incredible amount of EM knowledge and experience.
Unfortunately we didn't do a group shot! :arrowthruhead:

Hello Group I am back in New York and I have finally caught up with my bills and lawn work after the trip to Vegas. Thank everyone for attending this hastily put together event. It all stared with Richard Alan and I just wanting to see each other face to face. Special thanks to Alan for picking the location and the tour of his massive shop. Perhaps next time I can buy a Fortune 1 slot from him.
I am all for future gatherings. What a great group of people. I consider myself honored to be among you all.
Stay well and keep giving New life to the old games that we love.
