Fuse holder Cap IGT M+

Picked up a M+ and it’s missing a fuse holder cap. Where can I find a replacement? Looked all over and no luck. Thanks in advance!

Found the fuse in the back of the machine today! Have a no spin on 3 however.

You found the fuse, or the fuse cap?  And do you mean no spin on 3rd coin or no spin on reel #3?  Need you to be more specific please. A few photos of your machine will likely get you more help.

Sorry its reel #3 that I’m getting no spin but they all spin fine. I found both the fuse and the cap. Having problems posting photos. Saying they are too large.

That's because the photos are over 1 meg filesize, which is the max for an attachment here on NLG. If you check the settings or options on your camera or phone many have a way to reduce the size of the photo it takes.

Or you can get photo edit software and reduce your photo. It is available online for free download at various places. If you plan to do a lot of photo uploading to forums it might be good to learn how to reduce the photo size.

Or you can email the photo to yourself and post that reduced version here. Emailing the photo will often automatically reduce it, so the email you receive will have a smaller version of the photo.

As a last resort you can post your photos at a free photo hosting site like imgur.com, imgbb.com or others. Then add the link to the photo in your message here. But if that site goes down or changes things then your photo will no longer be viewable here so this isn't the preferred way to get a photo posted. For longevity it's better if the photo is posted directly to NLG but sometimes that isn't possible.

I switched reel #3 with reel #2 and still get a no spin reel 3 error. The reels are all locked up now and not freely spinning like they were before.

That's an interesting looking machine, I haven't worked on an "M" model. I brightened your photo below so we can see more detail. Are the reels controlled by mechanical gearing method or do they have a motor that turns them directly? Do those large metal cover panels drop down or remove to show what is behind them?

I suppose the "M" means it was made for US military customers?

Hopefully someone here that knows the M model will be able to offer some advice.

Ok so the error did follow the reel after i unlocked the reels. I reflowed the solder on the reels to make sure it wasn’t a cold solder joint. The tag on the key says its a M+ but it stands for mechanical. Each reel has a solenoid and has a gear stop. The reel looks lubed up which makes me think its a bad sensor. Anyone know how to check them?

Did you reflow the connections on the flexible cable?  Those are known to cause problems.  I'd trace them out and make sure they have good continuity from one to the other too.

If the reels are the mechanical type they are famous for getting dried out grease that binds and won't let them spin. They often need a thorough cleaning to remove old grease and apply fresh grease. With machine power off can you turn the reels freely?

The reel is spinning and still follows whatever position you put it in though right?  If so, it sounds like either the optical transmitter or receiver is bad.
