Title: game king 4.?

I have a 1998 game king with the 19 inch tube monitor that i want to go lcd anyone know where i can get for a decent price and is it a easy change? and a set chip as well so i can change domination and games price on that to :)

They're easy to change, you just remove the monitor and slide the LCD in it's place.  Then you have to change the bezel on the door.  It's not difficult. 

The keychip you need is dependent on the game software you have.  If you can post the Base and GME chip numbers we can tell you which one you need.

Since you are going to change to an LCD I would suggest you also upgrade to an 044 mpu/backplane combination and get a gameking 6.4 or Super Star Poker board.  It will be a much more enjoyable experience.  Seems like a letdown to get a new LCD and play with 4.x software.  I realize the cost would probably set you back a bit, but you won't be sorry you did.

He'd have to get a whole new machine to do that.  IGT never made a 044 motherboard for the older Game Kings that I'm aware of.  Being a 1998 model it's not a GK+ so it will have a single button deck and older I/O card tray.
