Bob, give ma a call I may have sent you the wrong MEI unit, didn't see the RS232 on the head. I have another unit I can send you.
If some one who knows Bally 6000 could respond to that being a mismatch ( A rs 232 in a Bally 6000. )
Appreciate it in advance.
Don't panic Bob we will get it figured out!

Bob, just spoke to Scott, he told me what the problem was! its the yellow harness, that harness is for a Bally Alpha, you need a red harness, that one is for Bally 6000. I will send the harness tomorrow, you will have to do the following: pull out the head, pull out the cash can, pull out the logic board from the housing, (it pulls straight out, be care full not the grab the switches on the bottom) take pictures if you need too, now remove the two screws holding the harness plug, remove the plug and harness. NOW before you install the red harness and plug, see how it will be placed in the housing so it will align with the board, then secure it with the two screws, put the board back in, put in the cash can, put in the head, hook up the plug from the backplane.
I was told the RS232 will work in that machine.
inspect all around and make sure everything is correct, then turn on the machine and see what happens, the dip switches have to be off off as pictured.
