Title: bally alpha small screen touch not working
Post by: armyaviation on March 27, 2024, 10:26:38 AM
I have a bally alpha with the small screen n the center of the game.  The screen and touch were working fine but over the winter and them being in the garage i noticed the small screen touch doesnt work now.  I tried to get it into calibration mode but half the screen doesnt work and the bottom right corner is about in the center of the screen.  is it lost or is there a way to fix it, thanks

Hi, Had a similar problem with my S9000. There is a metal plate protecting the wires on the door behind the lower monitor. The USB cable to this lower touch screen monitor bbehind this plate has a USB male and female connection. Loose connection was helped by slightly bending in the plug to create a much tighter connection. Seems to have cured the problem. The cover plate is held on by 2 screws. Hope this helps.

There is a cover plate over some cables on the back of the door right behind and below the lower touch screen monito.

The picture shows where I found my loose usb connection. It is like an extension cable connected with a male and female usb cord that goes to the monitor.

You need to take the cover plate off to see where the cables were connected. At least that is where my problem was (a very loose and poor connection).
