does anyone know where i can get a wrench for the button nuts , i bought one off the arcade sites and it does not fit , the size of the button on a igt 29mm for the large nuts and 26mm for the small ones , i would think the could be 3d printed , some of these button nuts are a real pain to get off

Get a set of faucet nut socket wrenches at the hardware store. They are about 6" long and several sizes that are close enough.
-
ok i will try that, thanks

Dang, I need to buy a 3d printer. Hopefully the 3d scanners get cheap soon.
-
I'm checking to see if I can get these made. I will reply once I find out.

Got one printing now, there are 2 different files, about 5 hour print time each. I'll report back once done

Is that a dule z ender 5?
-
It's an Ender 5 plus
-
i tried the one they sell on ebay for arcade machines and it does not fit the igt nuts so who ever makes them can get the size correct

What I have done in the past is gotten a piece of Schedule 20 PVC that is close to the nut size. Heat it up with a heat gun and form it over the nut. Works like a champ. You can even make a set. The PVC pipe is very moldable when heated. Cut it about 6 inches and plasti dip the end for a little extra grip.

PlumFull warehouse has all sorts of these facet wrenches - bring in a button and the hex nut.

Back in the day this is what we used, and I still have it. It has a lot of miles on it. I think a 3D printed one would be interesting and the way to go if you have access to a printer.

not sure that old time tool is around anymore what do they use at the slot factory anyone who knows chime in please

Here's a link to what I've been using...>>>

The Suzo Happ tool does not show the sizes on each end
-
The plastic wrench doesn't have the sizes imprinted on it....they're different sizes too.
I've never used the larger side of the socket wrench to loosen/tighten buttons.
I don't know what size that is.
However, it's a great button wrench for the S+, S2000, iGame, Bally5500, and video arcade decks.
-
If it fits the large buttons , that's all I need.
-
Stayouttadabunker! Where were you last year when I needed to change one of those illuminated buttons on an industrial machine at work? Thats the find of a century.
I guess I have been lucky, I have never had to change a slot machine button other than the cap or bulb…both accessible from the top. Oh, I think I changed one on on my old F1…no nut or clip, just pressed in. Lol
I really love the person who left feedback on Amazon saying the wrench shouldn’t be called “illuminated”. You deserve a karma + for finding the tool and also for starting my day with humor.

haha....actually, Suzo Happs was selling it a buncha years ago.
I was picking up some other parts and seen it so I bought it just for the heck of it.
I have no idea what the other side of this dang thing fits tho!?!? :24: :rotfl:
