Title: Stuck reel baskets
Post by: Neon Nights on February 12, 2023, 10:09:00 PM
Hello everyone. I'm having a problem pulling reels 1 and 3 out of my machine to change the strips. Reel 2 comes out easliy, but 1 and 3 are stuck in their sockets so tightly that could literally grab one and pull the machine off its stand before it came out. Does anyone have tips for getting them out?

Thanks.

Update

Jim's tips for getting the reels out with a screwdriver worked like a charm. :applause:

I usually swap strips without removing the reels.

I usually swap strips without removing the reels.

That's really good to know, and exactly what I'll do.
I heard something about turning them by hand generates some electricity, and I had no idea if that approach was a good idea or not.

Thanks again, SixCardMark!

to remove stubborn reels, use a thin blade flat screwdriver, from underneath the reel shelf, place the tip of the screwdriver behind the black housing, between it and the metal shelf, then just push back on the screwdriver and the reel will come forward, so now you can remove it.

very easy, quick, does not damage anything, you may have to play around with it the first time, but once you do it and see where and how all the parts fit, then it takes about 10 seconds to do.

hope this helps

This usually happens when someone installs the 22700 reels on a short glass shelf. The 15100 reels fit better on that shelf.

I appreciate the tips, and I'll give that a try. Thank you.
