Title: Handle arm change
Post by: henko666 on February 23, 2023, 12:02:41 AM
Hallo,

I have a new handle arm for my Bally Twenty One that i want to change.
Is it possible to do this from the outside somehow or do I have to take out the whole handle release mechanism from the inside?
Is the handle cover on the outside maybe removable so you can easilly change the arm?

If anyone have a schematic over the handle function and how to take it apart it would be great!

Best regards, // Henrik

the handle is held in by a bolt - #43 on the diagram on page 26 of the 2400 manual (https://bingo.cdyn.com/slots/bally_manuals/)

the head of the bolt is inside the cabinet in the center of the handle box and also attaches the fork to the handle box.

the bolt is usually on very tight.  Be careful loosening the bolt - an impact tool or nudging the wrench to break the bolt free is what you want.  It's possible to damage/shear the bolt if you apply a lot of torque when loosening or tightening.

once the bolt is out, you can twist/wiggle the handle and pull it out.  The decorative cap doesn't need to be removed, and you don't have to pull the bolt all the way out.
