Title: 54 error code only goes away when JW3 dip switches are on

So I can only use coins now, my BV doesn't work.
It use to work fine, I made the mistake of letting the battery die and now I have the 54 error code. I have cleared the machine several times.
It's a Bally 5500 Diamond Line 
It works fine with coins but I would like to get the BV working again.
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.

54 is drop door open. That is the door on the outside where you remove the bills. The switch is not closed. The latch on the that door lock is not engaging with the switch and causing this error. Or the bill stacker is not in properly or missing.

I did a Safe ram clear and it is working now!
