Title: GK Zero check failure

hi all
GK with the  Zero check failure. I just got this slot and replaced the batteries yes it has 2 coin cr2330 stacked on board. first time booting the failure came up.

The 044 MPU is supposed to have one CR2354 battery on it.  Stacking two of them puts two in series so you're sending 6V to the board instead of 3V.  I don't know if that would hurt it or not and I'm not going to try it and find either. 

The error message means there's a problem with your flash card.  It may be able to be reflashed.  If it's bad it may still be usable with a DEV039 bootchip so you can bypass the security checks.  Check with Sixcardmark, he had some new flash cards available if yours can't be reflashed.

i thought 2 batteries was weird but thats what was in there. i took them out for now and will get the right one.

Some people really get creative with battery hacks.  I made a typo on the battery part number and corrected it in the post.  CR2354 is the correct one.

i googled the first number and couldnt find it so i was going to ask about cr2354  :yes:

If you need to order some get a spare.  They last about 18 months or so.
