Title: Bally Leave-In Mains
Post by: Iamwally on July 09, 2023, 08:28:58 AM
Hi guys!  New to all this Bally stuff and just trying to figure it all out!  Is there a way to use leave-in mains with a printer?  Or is that not possible?  I thought I read a document somewhere that mentioned activating printer using Tito board?🤷‍♂️

Thanks,

John

1. 2003 mains with printer support and printer, no TITO. Use removeable clear chips for RAM clear.
2. Leave in clear chips/mains and no printer support, (maybe TITO? but I don't think so)
3. 2005 or newer mains and TITO board and printer. Use removable clear chips to clear RAM.

Thanks for that info!  Next question……how can you tell which mains you have?🤣

Thanks,

John

If you  use switch #8 on DS1  to do a clear  , those are leave in clear chips.  Otherwise not sure what you have.

I doubt those are leave in clears because the board doesn’t have switches if you look it still has grey shunt blocks.  At least I assume?!🤷‍♂️

Thanks,

John

Yes! Correct! Not sure what they are.  Does your ticket printer work? Could read the checksum and maybe find out.

You should remove all 3 of those shunt blocks and replace them with 8 position DIP switches.

Take control of your board!
