Title: mills no payout
Post by: grssslotrepair on July 12, 2023, 05:34:27 AM
First time on a mills slot. No payout. from what I read, coin slides stay back while reels are spinning? My slides go forward as soon as reels are released to spin. So to much pressure on horz fingers to release them for payout. Cant seem to find next step in troubeshooting process. What holds the slides back? help

Just figured out there is a missing spring that pushes arm in to hold back slides. Now just have to figure out where one goes...getting close

solved. missing spring on actuator that holds slide back

You may have to loosen the slide stack and blow/clean out any dust or gunk that's in there. I've bought machines where someone put OIL on the slide stack!  :talktothehand:
My last machines slide stack was overtightened and unevenly tightened. Once I loosened up the entire thing, and re-tightened it evenly, it worked.
Post a photo of your slide stack and the entire machine.
I'll contact a member that's far more experienced than me - stand by.

grssslotrepair,

I think pics are required with any posting of antique games....  Please post a photo of the loose spring and where you believe it goes.

I would ask if this machine was laid down when transported.  If so, a coin can easily turn and block the slides.  Another thing can be gummed up slides.  As shorttrack mentions oiling them is a No No.  They need to be dry and clean of oil and debris.

Lastly, I would ask if this machine has the "5 click" when you play it.  If there is no 5th click then the slides aren't reseting.

sorry guys, I updated the original post instead of replying. I replaced a missing spring and was good to go. Thanks
