Where is the circuit board? Is it a stack in a metal tray on the back or one board underneath the monitor?

Exactly what I was thinking. I have some experience with these but they are really temperamental and often will not boot.

That looks like a Summit coin to me, however I don’t see the stack of boards that are supposed to mount on the back wall. There are no schematics and no humans on earth who know how to get these to boot consistently, something goes wrong and they all eventually stop booting. Badbaud at KLar and I have both experienced getting one to work but it’s hit or miss, usually miss!
His advice… if you get it working take a picture and get rid of it quick!
If you want to try let me know and I will give you some pointers.
As a side note, the monitors are robust!

Doesn't look like a Summit board.
But it looks like major acid damage from leaking batteries,
not a project for a beginner in electronic repair.
