Title: mei stacker cycling and sticking

i now have 5 mei cash boxes that are out of order.
when i put them in a known working igt s2000 machine, the head initializes, but then the stacker cycles over and over
and over, slowing over the next several cycles...then its like stuck..i put in a known working stacker and the head initializes
and the box cycles 1 time and its ready to go.
i see nothing noticeably wrong with the box

anyone else have this issue?  what parts can go wrong with this dumb plastic box?

The stacker inside the box is removable in the ones with philips head screws inside.  Some have pins and you can't take them apart.  Clean all the clear prisms and they should work again.  You can even put the stackers in a dishwasher.  Dry them out before putting them back together.

ok..thanks for the info...
i know how the prism part work...its the optics that lets the machine know the box is there, light travels from one side to the other thru the clear plastic ...maybe something inside the boxes are stuck...ill take apart and wash
