Thinking this is a faulty box, correct?

Any source for a replacement?

Make sure it is pushed in all the way.  Try cleaning the pusher unit inside the box and all the optics.

I got a new bill box and problem solved. Takes bills easily and no issues,…but


While machine is idle, every few hours the mei will reset, boot with the correct sound, and cause a bill validator comm error.

Clears with door open/close.  No clue what causes this.

Try cleaning the contacts of the interface board or re-seat it a few times.  It slides forward to remove.
