Hi all --
I wasn't sure if I should post this in this forum or in the DBV area, but I'll try here first since I don't think the problem is the bill validator.
I believe that I had seen some discussion in the past regarding the same or similar problem, but I cannot find it now.
The JCM DBV and stacker work just fine. Bills are accepted and stacked neatly in the can.
However, there are no credits registered on the machine.
I have swapped:
- The bill validator (2 other units), same result.
- The MPU board. (Both boards work just fine in another Game Maker and accept bills.)
I am guessing it's some kind of communication issue between the DBV and the MPU or backplane.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try next?
Thank you for reading this!

***UPDATE***
I swapped out the head and changed the DIP switch 10 setting, sprayed contact cleaner on all the connectors, and reconnected everything. That did the trick.

Sounds like it is a very efficient machine. I usually have to play for a couple of hours before all my cash disappears.... :stirthepot:
I have no experience on this platform but it almost sounds like it might be set to be $100 per credit vs $1 per credit.
So you would need to put in 5 x $20 for 1 credit.....
Generally speaking bill validators reject bills if there is no communications with their host.

Thanks for your reply.

It is not set for $100 per credit. The machine is set for 0.05 (nickels).
