Title: Replaced Battery, Code 61, Now What? Hot Peppers
Post by: 76Brougham on August 09, 2018, 01:54:24 PM
Hi,

Helping my buddy again with is Hot Peppers. Had a code 12, removed the board, checked the battery with voltmeter, dead. Put in a new one, board was out of machine for a few weeks. Put it back together and now code 61. Read through some of the other battery posts I found here and either I'm not doing something right or I missed something. I've tried the rest button behind the power switch and the key reset. At this point I can't remember which combination I tried as I failed to write it down.

What next?

Thanks.

Press and hold the self test button until you hear a "ding" and the display shows 61-1, close the main door, and then turn the jackpot reset key.

Thanks. Just turn key and then turn back? Does it need to stay in the "forward" position for any length of time?

Bingo! So to speak. Thank you, kind sir.

Now, is there manual for comparitor adjustment? Sometimes the coins are sticking. It I bang lightly it accepts the coin.

And, when it pays, it just spits out tokens rather than building credits.

Appreciate the help.

I've printed and saved that last suggestion so that next time I know what to do.
