Model: CPS2 A board
Dead. Garbage on screen

Board had attempted repairs done - the Z80 was socketed.

Checked the Z80 and found pin A13 was shorted to ground. Replaced bad SMT 74LS245 chip at A13 and tested. No sound. Replaced bad Z80 and tested.

The bad Z80 chip was counterfeit. The sanding marks from the chip going through a remarking process were clearly visible.
