Title: Bally Alpha Loses Memory on Power Failure
Post by: idylewild1 on March 12, 2016, 03:55:02 PM
Have five or six Bally Alpha Game Makers that lose memory on power failure and need to be cleared and programmed. This happens every time there is a power failure. Batteries are good. These are i gig CPU's. Any ideas ????

Is there more than one battery in these machines? Some slots have multiple batteries, maybe you haven't checked the one that is bad?

That type 1 gig board was made specifically for the game maker-it is non upgradeable.  That being said it has the two smaller button cell batteries in cpu and the one on the backplane.  I would suspect backplane battery voltage.  I would think you have checked them however-?.

you need a suitcase  call Bally IMPU 1ghz and 1gig of ram that will resolved your memory fault problem.
