Title: What is this 27c512 chip? Evo clear?
Post by: shortrackskater on April 08, 2016, 04:48:40 PM
I'm trying to organize. Next to an EVO clear chip was another 27c512 chip labeled "9702-02"
Does anyone have a clue what this is?

If that is all that is on the label, then it's not a factory chip. If that is the case, then there's no telling what it is, as people label their chips differently. You have a burner, did you read it? Could be SMI 9702?

My burner reads it as a NM27c512 and that it's not blank. It reads data but I have no idea how to decipher it.

To the right of the data was this!
It was right in front of my eyes... sort of. I didn't even know I had this. It came with my EVO - It's "Soap Opera." Somewhat useless since I don't have the CD that goes with it.
Thanks Roz, though, for guiding me along!!  :applause:
