Title: BALLY V5500 - DEUCES WILD SOFTWARE
Post by: GOS on April 24, 2016, 07:46:14 AM
i am looking for a newer version of the Deuces Wild game - I have in my library 3 versions - a bonus, straight, and deuces - all 3 versions require a keypad to set options - the new versions do not - you can change using the reset key. I do not have any documentation indicating what program numbers I need.

You DO have the keypad though, right?

there lies the problem - i can get a keypad - but the deuces programs I have are all 1989 - the programs I have 1992-1994 do not use the keypad.   I tried reading the code and found all versions make reference to the keypad but could not find what causes the keypad vs the key switch.

another interesting fact - the manual does not mention key pad - the V5000 DOES use a keypad  -  so could the proms I have be for a V5000? not a V5500?????

seems strange that the wire diagram and the bally manual does not indicate keypad is required to change game options.  After talking to a slot tech - i was told that they had to use the keypad which was kept under lock and key in the casino - so MAYBE the casino was required by law to leave the game alone - just like not being able to change out chips in boards.  i have a keypad coming and will see what happens.
