New here, so I'll start with showing what I got
« on: January 18, 2021, 10:14:17 AM »
This is the game area of our basement theater.

On the left is a self-made arcade cabinet. Little bit of a work in progress. Some day I'll figure out how I want to paint/finish it. It's running a mini-PC inside. I used a dual stick X-Arcade that I'd had for years. The screen is an old ELO resistive touchscreen. It runs Emulationstation for all the video games, but with the touchscreen it works great for running video slots from here. I did add a button to the middle of the X-Arcade that's hooked up to an Arduino that just emulates a mouse click. This was a request from my wife who wanted a physical button when playing slots. You use the touchscreen once to hit the bet button and until you get to a bonus, you can just click the button to keep playing.

I'm thinking about building/buying a properly fitting poker table cover for the air hockey table.

On the right is my Bally three-reel EM machine. I got it several years back and just went through it all getting it back into fighting shape. Since most of the lights had burnt out, I took out all the fluorescent and swapped it out for LED strips. I've tied them in with the automated theater lighting. So they're white normally, but when you dim the lights for a movie it switches to red (as does the marquee on the arcade machine and LED strip lighting on the stairs).
