Title: Bally 6000 Help
Post by: pdburgo on October 21, 2016, 01:38:14 PM
Hello everyone! I have what I believe is a Bally 6000 machine. I'm pretty new to slots but have been working with IGT 3902 and 044 machines. I did a complete safe ram clear. Now in the Win Paid window I have the following:

01.01 The first 01 is flashing

In the Credit window:

00. (then a blank) 1

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Okay. So I figured out that it is the date and time. I set the date, but in the credit window the 3rd position does not light when trying to set the time. I set the first position in 24 hr format, but when I moved to the next position it would only go up to 7.

I exited out and tried to play the machine. The coin just falls through. In the win paid window I have a decimal point in the first and second position. Are they supposed to clear when I close the door or after I make the next play? Could this be bad door optics and if so is there any way to bypass the optics?

Thanks,

Paul

After the clear you have to leave the door open and let the reels do their dance and bump and wait until they are done before closing the door.
Sounds like you have a Bally 5500 slot and not a 6000. Setting the date and time is optional. Just press the change switch and accept what is shown on the display as date and time then close trhe door when you see the 50 code (door open code).
