Title: SAVP Reel Tilts, Fresh Set Up from Scratch

I've got a 3 Reel SAVP that I'm trying to get going with spare parts.

I've assembled everything needed to get it powered up, but am having problems now with Reel Tilts.

I'm using A09 for the OS, 3.0M Brainbox and loaded Lucky Joker Fire Bells as the Game.

I've got 2 sets of Reels, which neither set works in the machine. Once booted I get Reels 1,2 and 3 Stalled and Reels 1,2 and 3 Unexpected Movement. AVP Reel Shelf.

The Reel Driver Board has the BFB003 EEPROM on it.

Question is this....is that not high enough to operate the Reels? I have a BFB004 also, which made no difference.

I see BFB005s for sale on eBay, but I'm unsure if that will solve this problem.

Or do I need my Blackfin Board Flashed? I think that's what it's called. I'm not completely sure though.

Pictured are the part numbers of the Reel Sets I have.

Not sure which ones to use.

I had this happen as well. Upgrading the reel shelf board to 5 version software cured the issue.

That's what I'm hoping will solve it.


I'm in contact with a member that has the Flash Tools, so I'll report back once that is done and the Board is re-installed.

I am having the same issue with my savp.  The reel control board was dead and had no chip. Pull board from another machine and I keep getting reel tilt errors.  I also have the 0003 chip.  Can you point me in the right direction on who you are working with.

Had a member Flash my Reel Driver Board and all is well with the Reel Tilts.

No I've got a Main Door Open issue, but will figure it out soon enough.
