Title: IGT Wheel of Fortune - Not Working - $4,000
Post by: speedbump on November 10, 2017, 05:28:31 PM
I wonder if it's a flood damaged machine from the recent hurricane.  I believe the first floor of one casino in Biloxi was under water.

This thing is in Houston Texas,  Not Biloxi MS.  So let's correct that.  Houston is the place that went under water pretty recently in diff. areas.  Biloxi MS. was hurricane Katrina over 10 years ago.

I could swear Hurricane Nate flooded Biloxi casinos just last month on October 7, 2017.

And yes, I understand Biloxi is a distance from Houston, but slot machines have been known to grow legs.  I have a storm damaged machine in my living room that somehow made a circuitous 2,500 mile cross country journey over a period of time, so there is no rule that says a machine must remain the the state where it was flooded.

Given that this one was not working, I was merely wondering if it might be one of Nate's freshly flooded victims.  Please forgive me for thinking out loud.

Is this you Craigslist ad?  If so, perhaps you can provide some clarity as to the machine's status and condition?

It is not my machine and I can guarantee you it's in Houston and has not left there.  Nate did nothing here to any casino machines,  I live here and know.  As far as it not working.......That cost's about 3-6K to make one of those work from what I have heard and Yes, Given the area it's in do your homework-Houston got it bad so I don't know the current condition as I suspect it's a dated (older) pic.

I don't know anything about this WOF machine for sale but Hurricane Nate definitely flooded some casinos in Biloxi.

I'm really not trying to start a urinating contest here.

I just listed the ad in case someone is interested in a WOF machine.  There's another ad on the same page from a different seller for a second, working WOF (appears to be an S2000) for $7,300.

Me neither, but I wanted to clear up that question about Biloxi. Hurricane Nate caused a lot of storm surge flooding, and many of the casinos there are on the coast. Anyone interested in the WOF can always contact the seller and get photos of the inside of the machine, esp lower area, to look for damage. Personally I think they are overpriced due to scarcity, not due to playing fun.

This is below gaming level but it's easy to see how someone could assume that some machines could've been damaged.

I can see what people could perceive and assume.  I can assure you Nate was a Pussy here and I personally went to all the casinos the following week.  You are looking at parking garages etc.  Needless to say a casino do NOT own a s-avp,s-mld wof anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey folk's get all your info and buy it.  It's not mine and no, It's not gonna work.  Fix it if you can.  My 2-cent's

Yes there is a 2nd on there,  Westfield slots, via other, via utah.  If they wanted their stuff posted here,  I guess they would-They are all members here but nothing prevents one from posting listings from craig's list here by members.  They just don't want to deal with idiots. 777  My Opinion--No more to say on my part--No pissing contest at all.

Ha! As if craigslist isn't full of idiots, scammers and larceny.   :24:

They are probably only stooping to posting an ad on craigslist because they couldn't get their asking price anywhere else. Let's face it, the days of selling a nice pinball machine or slot machine relic is drawing to a close, less and less buyers interested in paying top-dollar anymore.
