Title: BB2 transmissive reel pull arm question
Post by: slotdoofus on December 08, 2017, 09:16:48 AM
I'm new to owning BB2 machines.
I picked up 2 recently...One is a video style, the other is a 5 reel transmissive style.

On the transmissive machine, the pull arm assembly was extremely lose where it mounts to the cabinet. All od the 10-24 mounting screws were stripped. Currently, the pull arm hangs up when you pull the arm. It doesn't spring back. I'm hoping some lubrication will remedy this. My biggest concern is...when you pull the handle, it doesn't activate the reels.

My question is...

During the set-up/install of a game, is there a setting that allows you to disable the pull arm mechanism?

Nope, the game software will disable the pull are if you load in a video game but otherwise it is active if a transmissive game is installed.

Thanks for the response.

I was wondering if the pull arm would work if I decided to convert the machine over to video.

I've sprayed the mechanical assembly down w/ some WD40. That "might" help the arm movement...but I have a hunch that the lubrication isn't going to help when it comes to the pull arm activating the reels.

Good ol' WD40 did the trick. My pull arm is working 100%
