Title: Bally Alpha " machine disabled" on LCD
Post by: Jim on December 22, 2017, 12:45:17 PM
when checking the reason  it displays " Handpay validation cue full"  what has to be done to  resolve this, didn't want to have to clear the machine and reset all the progressives if I didn't have to!

Thanks

Jim

Yes, it is common amongst alpha's.  When you cash out through tito, the handpay validation must be acknowledged on a SAS message.  The tito boards ignore this message, so it queues up on the machine until the buffer fills and you get this error.  The only solution is to clear the machine and setup again.  Some OS versions lets you disalbe handpay validation, and that would prevent that from happening again.

Rick,  I did clear the machine, reset  the progressives, after a few mistakes got it down to five minutes. the machine has a 341OS, most of the mistakes were made in regard to the validation settings,  is there a list somewhere of the setting required to get this correct?  there were three areas of concern: 1, was the host 1 setting, after entering SAS Primary and saving it, the config, became available, this required the STANDARD to be selected,  after saving this, the validation still wasn't set!  back to the screen, selected the owner settings, this came up with around 8 or 9 settings, first being, machine control, ended up setting all but one to SAS primary, then the validation not set went away.  what do all of these mean??

Thanks

All the SAS settings have to do with TITO and machine control.  What you did is the correct setting.  You need to have all sas set to primary except the one you left alone.  There's a meter validation (or something like that), disable it.  I believe this setting keep the queue from filling up, since it no longer reports the meters to the host.  But I rarely ever cash out on my machine, or don't have the game long enough on it fill the queue.
