Title: BB2 sound issue (subwoofer/bass)
Post by: PartySaver1189 on January 31, 2018, 04:54:33 PM
Looking for help...
just took delivery of my super jackpot party bb2 widescreen. I have one major issue: While the game sound is working the bass/subwoofer doesn't seem to be even partially functional.
In the casino I'd come across these machines every now and again.

--- How easy is it to change out the woofer? Or is this fixed another way? I need to assume the wires are secure on the woofer side. (I gotta learn more)

Also, another problem... what could cause a printer to throw out an error of "printer door open" even when it's not (latch is not damaged). It's a netplix printer. (spelling)

The bose speaker assembly it's one entire piece.  If the woofer part is not working, you would probably need to replace the entire thing.

With the machine on, open the door and look at the status light on the printer.  Usually these machines have a "reddish" usb universal printer, there's a little light where the button to feed a ticket is, what color is the light?

The printer is light green. One thing I noticed was that when I opened printer door TWO "printer door open" messages appeared. Then just one after I closed it.
I noticed the printer led will flicker on occasion.

So the woofer wouldn't likely have a lose wire? Does it have a dedicated plug in the back of it? I hope it's easy to switch out :/

UPDATE: Printer is OK now after some tinkering.

The subwoofer is going to require some patience.

The entire speaker assembly connects to the amplifier (Big thing with heatsink just below the speaker) with a multicolored harness.  So there's no connector specifically for the woofer.

Thanks! I am looking forward to installing the part when it arrives. Gotta have that bass!

Update: ended up switching out the parts with ease. All I need now is an OS with negative sound volume capability. :P
